Mahatma Gandhi’s birth anniversary could soon be a dry day globally.
On 23rd May ’08, India officially proposed at the ongoing World Health Assembly in Geneva that October 2 ? the birth anniversary of the father of the nation ? be designated as ?World No Alcohol Day?.
The proposal has already got support from a couple of South East Asian countries. It could take about a year for the proposal to be granted official approval. The Indian officials are very confident that it will go through.
If this proposal goes through, there is nothing stopping other countries from following suit, and proposing other days as “World No Alcohol Day”.
The day aint far, when people will start marking dates on their calendars when they are allowed to drink legally, and when their local wine shops will be ‘Open’.
We’d better start stocking up our homes.

Pretty insightful post. Never thought that it was this simple after all. I had spent a good deal of my time looking for someone to explain this subject clearly and you’re the only one that ever did that. Kudos to you! Keep it up
