More often than not, I receive phone numbers within my Text Messages (SMS)
In order to save the phone number to my contacts, I need to memorize the number, go to phonebook, and manually type the number and the name of the contact OR I can select the phone number, and say ‘Add to Contacts’ but then I need to manually type the name of the contact.
This quick tutorial teaches you how to directly send a business card (A contact with its complete details like multiple phone numbers, emails, notes etc) without manually typing out the number.
Go to your Phonebook, and type in the contact name (whose number you wish to send)

Next, Hit Options, and select “Send” from the Menu.

Once you press ‘Send’, you have various options to send this business card
- Via text Message
- Via Multimedia
- Via Email
- Via Bluetooth
- Via Infrared

Some options might be missing, depending on the phone model. For this tutorial, you need to press ‘Via Text Message’.
Your business card will be attached to your SMS, and its ready to be sent as a normal text message.

When the other person receives this message, he only has to select options and hit ‘Add to contacts’. The contact will be added to his Phonebook.
This tutorial is handy when you need to send a single contact. If you need to send multiple phone numbers, you need to repeat the above process.
Note: Standard SMS rates apply.
