I’ve always been a fan of the Ipod. Its great to have music wherever you go. Along with the Ipod, I’ve always wanted one of those cool Ipod dockers.
Just recently, my wife gifted me a portable JBL Ipod docker, and I love it. Its small, sleek and plays real good music. Loud enough for my bedroom, and it charges the Ipod as it plays music. What a fantastic little device. Now I dont need those huge hi-fi systems to play my CD’s, which occupy so much space.
Though I love my JBL docker, I googled for some more Ipod dockers. I’ve seen a couple of these at retail outlets, some of them look really neat, and have cool features like FM Radio, Alarm, dimming the music as you sleep etc.
I came across this JBL at a retail outlet, and it retails around INR 14,000/-. It player much louder that the one that I have, but it certainly is not portable. Its good if its going to be kept in your bedroom forever.
All the dockers seen here charge your Ipod while playing music, and they also come a cable that can connect your regular Mp3 players (with a 3.5mm jack), but in this case, your Mp3 players wont be charged while they play music, but hey! Atleast you get a loud speaker 
Next up is the iHome Ipod docker. Not very appealing looks wise, but to my surprise played really well. The sound quality could really be compared to that of a JBL. The advantage it had was ofcourse the price factor, it was way cheaper than the JBL, plus if you’re bored of music on your Ipod, you can always switch to the Radio. You can set the alarm on your docker, and wake up to your favorite song in the morning.
This truck one is not yet available in India but looks really cool. I think it is done up very creatively, but am not sure of the sound quality or any other features that it may have, but it just looks too cool. If you have a personal cabin at work, and listen to music, I think this is a must have for your desk.
This one gives you an effect that it is frowning. I didnt quite like this one, but just put it up here as its a little different

The truck 1 is cool
, also the JBL ones are pretty decent in performance, but the ones form Bose are really powerful & not to forget the one by Apple itself, it packs a huge punch, I had bought the Logic 3 i-Station 9 seemed good when I bought it but after sometime the radio stopped working, no service too here as I got it from Alfa, I would suggest people to go for JBL if they are on a budget else go for Bose

Any idea how much are Bose? I think Bose would be super expensive mate!!
The JBL one was for 14k, Bose would be more than that
And yeah – I love the truck one too – More of a show piece for your desk or room!!
