One thing, which I fail to understand about the Notice period is its duration. While each company has its own notice period defined, my company has defined that the employee serve a notice period of 3 months. Yes, 3 fuckin months!
While most of the companies are happy with probably a month or two, my company wants us to serve 3 months. From what I understand, they would like the employee to serve 3 months, so they can utilize this time to find a replacement, and once found, the outgoing employee can give the handover to the new employee.
While this holds true, if the employee is assigned to some work, but if he is on bench, whats the point of telling him to stick around for 3 months. What does the company get - Its anyways loosing out on the salary. Plus, the employee will not be 100% productive during his notice period.
So how many months do you have to serve in your company….?
While google offers a free client that you can download on your cell phone to view your GMail, I prefer using the native email client provided by Nokia. This also means I don’t get the threaded view, and each conversation/email is tracked as a new email. If you prefer the conversations clubbed together, you can download the email client from Google.
Find below the instruction on setting up your GMail or Google Apps account on your native client.
I mentioned earlier about changing the system in our sweet little way, and how we should try and eradicate corruption completely from the system.
I’ve been thinking about this lately; infact even tried to practice it, but in no vain. Its far too difficult to live without corruption, without breaking any rules, and live a normal life in this city.
In 2006, immed after our wedding, Vogue had offered to put Saloni & myself on their cover, but we refused then. They approached us again in Nov 2008, and after much reluctance, we finally gave in, so here we are on the cover of VOGUE on the January 09 issue, which is yet to hit the stands.
